The pace of global progress must increase if the Global Vaccine Action Plan (GVAP) goals are to be achieved by 2020
“Through collective endeavour by all stakeholders, we*** will achieve the vision for the decade:
“A world where everyone, everywhere, at every age, fully benefits from vaccines for good health and well-being…one of the best health investments money can buy.” With IA2030, GVAP (Global Vaccine Action Plan) was the product of the DoV (Decade of Vaccines) Collaboration, an unprecedented effort that brought together development, health and immunization experts and stakeholders.
WE*** The leadership of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GAVI Alliance, UNICEF, United States National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases and WHO, along with all partners – governments and elected officials, health professionals, academia, manufacturers, global agencies, development partners, civil society, media and the private sector – are committed to achieving the ambitious goals of the GVAP.
Many more are expected to add their support in the future as the plan is translated and implemented at the country and regional levels. During GVAP implementation, regional vaccine action plans were used to translate global strategies into regional plans. Regional vaccine action plans will be revised to align with IA2030, as a critical step in operationalization.”
How the media is controlled to influence populations.
This model has been used for decades in behaviour modification; eggs, fats, smoking, drinking, weight, fast foods, flu shots and now we seem to be in the maintenance 6th phase of vaccine behaviour modification.
The transtheoretical model posits that health behaviour change involves progress through six stages of change: pre contemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, and termination.
Ten processes of change have been identified
for producing progress.
- Across 12 health behaviours, consistent patterns have been found between the pros and cons of changing and the stages of change. Applied research has demonstrated dramatic improvements in recruitment, retention, and progress.
- The most promising outcomes to data* have been found with computer-based individualized and interactive interventions.
- The most promising enhancement to the computer-based programs are personalized counsellors.
- One of the most striking results to date for stage-matched programs is the similarity between participants reactively recruited who reached us for help and those proactively recruited who we reached out to help. If results with stage-matched interventions continue to be replicated, health promotion programs will be able to produce unprecedented impacts on entire- ‘at-risk’ -populations.
